Discover the key to true prosperity from the story of Rebekah May 14th 2012

Discover the key to true prosperity from the story of Rebekah

Dear Friend,
When I stand on that crude wooden platform at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Sumbawanga, you are there through your generosity!

This month we are in a city in the interior of Africa called “the place of witchcraft”. Sumbawanga is a provincial capital in Tanzania, and the name means just that, “a crossroad where witches meet”.

That’s why preachers have shied away from this region. But we know from the Book of Acts that once Jesus is revealed, the power of witchcraft is broken and multitudes are drawn to Christ. Before I tell you more about Sumbawanga, allow me to share a powerful teaching:

“But a generous man devises generous things, and by generosity he shall stand”
(Is. 32:8).

Do you know that giving and generosity is not the same thing? It’s possible to be a giver and still not be generous. Generosity is an attitude. True God-given prosperity comes to the generous person.

A generous person is not mean-spirited, fault-finding or legalistic. The generous are big thinking, mercy-motivated, non-condemning, free-spirited persons, who go the extra mile.

• Abraham showed extraordinary generosity by offering the land he had been promised by God to his nephew Lot (Gen 13:9).

• David was generous by showering wealth on Mephibosheth, the crippled son of Jonathan (2 Sam 9:7).

• Jesus showed generosity when He turned water into 180 gallons of wine – not just ordinary wine, but the best wine – at the end of the feast when it was hardly needed (Jn 2:6-10).

• Paul demonstrated generosity by hard work and by prospering in order to support those who traveled with him (Acts 20:34).

David prayed, “Uphold me by Your generous Spirit” (Ps 51:12), because the Holy Spirit makes us generous. There is more. Generosity opens the door of destiny. Here’s an incredible story.

When Abraham sent his chief servant, Eliezer, to find a wife for Isaac, Eliezer took ten camels loaded down with gifts for the woman who would be selected as Isaac’s bride.

Eliezer looked for a sign – the sign of generosity.

He asks God that when he requested a cup of water from the woman who is to be Isaac’s wife, she will also offer to water all ten camels. Soon the most beautiful woman Eliezer has ever seen appears, and when he asks her for a cup of water, Rebekah asks if she could also water the camels.

Think about what it means to water ten camels, because one camel drinks up to 25 gallons in one sitting. That means 250 gallons of water were needed. If Rebekah would carry 5 gallons at a time, she’d have to make 50 trips up and down the stairs to the well. One thing is certain. Rebekah was a very generous woman, eager to bless others!

What Rebekah didn’t know, was that her generosity would open the door to a destiny beyond her wildest dreams. Within a few hours, Rebekah’s family had been loaded down with gifts, and she was on her way to become Isaac’s wife, and the mother to Jacob and the whole Jewish nation.

What does this mean for us?

Abraham is a picture of God the Father, and Isaac is a picture of Jesus Christ. Eliezer is a picture of the Holy Spirit, who has been sent out into the world to find and prepare a bride for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit comes laden with gifts of blessing, wisdom and healing for each one of us.

Rebekah was that “generous person”, who “devises generous things”. This kind of person thinks about how to bless others, and the result is that “by generosity he shall stand”. Rebekah devised a generous plan, and generosity opened her door of destiny.

I can tell you one thing about the partners and friends of World Impact Ministries; I believe I have the greatest, most willing-hearted and generous partners in the whole world. Thank you for your enthusiasm, your faith and your love.

Like Rebekah, God and you are making plans to show generosity, and your generosity puts you in God’s rhythm of giving and receiving.

The people of Sumbawanga are among the poorest of the poor. This great Gospel Campaign is deep in the interior of Africa, far from any amenities. So why are we going? Here is the deal. There is a treasure of hundreds of thousands of precious souls waiting, people who have been overlooked, neglected by preachers, but ready to hear the word of life of Jesus Christ.

Our Missions’ Director and our local team is already on location, working every day to spread the word to the entire region. When I stand on that crude wooden platform at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Sumbawanga, you are there with me through your love, your prayers and your generosity.

Please take these steps.

2.  Click here to send your prayer request.

3.  Click here for your special gift available with whatever amount you share; my just-released teaching, “The Power of Weakness”.

Time is of essence. Every person is needed; You are needed. We never have the funds in hand, but each Gospel Campaign we expect God to speak to people to make themselves available.

Thank you for your availability, and your generous giving.

Yours in the love of Jesus Christ,

Peter Youngren

Be still and know I am God February 14th 2012

Be still and know I am God

Friend, I am glad to share with you just before I leave for Ambon. This is a time of God’s favor for you.

Dear Friend,

There’s no doubt in my mind, I know for a fact, that I have the best and most faithful partners in the world. Our hearts beat together with the heartbeat of God… FOR SOULS.

By the time you receive this letter we are only a couple of days from the Gospel Campaign in Ambon, Indonesia.

This is an intense season of outreach. Right after Ambon, our team moves on to Assam, India. Hundreds of thousands of souls are at stake. God put a word in my spirit for these campaigns… and FOR YOU!

“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

Have you ever felt like you don’t know what to do? Have you ever run out of money? Or been up against a wall with no way out? What do we do? Pray more? Read the Bible more? Fast? What?

All these are good things, but above all, practice this word from God; “Be still, and know that I am God”. What does it mean practically?

You know it’s a lot easier to make your body be still than it is to quiet your thoughts and imaginations. We can never fight thoughts with thoughts. Just telling yourself, “Stop thinking negative thoughts” won’t help. It will make those thoughts of unbelief even stronger. No, here is the key:

“Be still”. Stop everything and say, “I know Jesus put away my sins, my sicknesses and my every lack. I am complete in Him, identified with Christ. As Jesus is, so am I in this world.” As you meditate on Christ, you won’t have to look for peace; the sweet inner peace and stillness will be there.

“Know” means to “ be certain”. Know that God loves you personally. Know that you are “more than a conqueror”. Perceive with certainty that you are complete in Jesus Christ, lacking nothing.

“That He is God”. This is beyond head knowledge; you know by revelation that your God is the Most High – the God who is more than enough.

Please, don’t focus on your own needs, or on the financial needs of World Impact Ministries right now.

We are not running away from reality; finances are still needed for the follow up this week, and then there’s the huge challenge of the Great Gospel Campaign in Assam, India. In fact, your seed offerings are vitally important.

Then, you have needs; maybe physically, spiritually or in a relationship. But please, don’t focus on any of those needs right now.

That’s right; don’t focus on the need of World Impact Ministries, or even your own personal needs. Instead, “Be still and know that I am God”.

Know that God is God in you. You have an edge in life, because all the wisdom, ability, inventions, solutions and miracle provision is in you because Christ is in you!

This will also affect your giving. Be still and know how to give and how to receive. We may know our prayer needs, but it’s quite another matter to know where and what to give. Know how to sow your financial seed in fertile soil.

When your seed offering comes from knowing that your giving is in harmony with God’s heartbeat, there’s great confidence and great satisfaction.

Know that your seed offering results in historical outreaches for souls.

Know that the message I preach is without compromise, and that your giving makes it possible for multitudes to hear and receive that Gospel.

Know that you receive the same reward for sending me to the unreached multitudes, as I do for preaching this marvelous Good News.

Know that God loves you more than our minds can ever understand.

Know also that I appreciate you dearly. Thank you for your important partnership this month.

Love in Christ,

Peter Youngren

PS. Click here to view some photos from the campaign in West Papua, Indonesia a few weeks ago. Your love and prayers sent me there. You paid for the stadium, the shipping of material for new believers, advertising in newspapers, radio and television and so much more. Thank You!

LOVE restores what HATE destroyed. January 27th 2012

LOVE restores what HATE destroyed.

Friend, 12 years ago unfathomable violence swept over Ambon, NOW is God’s time for a MIGHTY HARVEST!

Dear Friend,

Every picture in this letter has a story that grips our hearts.

Some of the pictures I have are so gruesome I could not include them; Young men wielding a machete, holding heads that had been severed from the body in front of hundreds of onlookers with cold, hate-filled eyes. When the devil has his way evil prevails, but when Jesus is lifted up He draws all people to Himself, and that’s what is about to happen.

The heartbreaking violence that rocked the Indonesian island of Ambon 12 years ago caused incredible suffering. Hundreds died and thousands were left homeless. One newspaper wrote “Clashes spread rapidly… as rival gangs armed with machetes and knives roamed the streets, established road blocks, stopped and searched vehicles and set fire to vehicles and buildings.”

The journalist continues, “Christian churches and mosques were burned down along with hundreds of houses, banks, shop stalls, vehicles and buildings. Around 20,000 people were forced to flee their homes.” Since this terrible situation, fear has prevailed and believers have prayed for the right time.

Friend, that time is now!

The governor, the police and the military have all come on board. The door is wide open. The stadium has already been rented and advertising is about to start in a few days.

Only God can open a door like this. I’m reminded of the scripture “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries” (1 Cor 16:9). The truth is that when God opens a door it doesn’t matter how many adversaries stand in the way, because no man can shut it.

Who but the Holy Spirit could orchestrate something like this? Can you imagine? It seemed that there would never again be the opportunity for a large Gospel campaign, but now the door is open. It is thrilling but we must also understand the responsibility of this unique historical opportunity.

Much is at stake! Great preachers of past centuries only dreamed of the day when opportunities would come to reach entire regions. And now we are privileged to have these open doors. The enemy of our souls is not pleased and he does what he can to deceive people. I need your prayers.

Great things are ahead in 2012 and beyond. God is moving in an unprecedented way on my heart concerning the doors He’s opening around the world. In a couple of months I hope to share with you in more details the plan the Lord has put in my heart to reach the world’s largest unreached megacities.

Will you pray for the upcoming Ambon Campaign and the great plans God is birthing in our spirit?

Jesus said, “I say unto you that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents” (Luke 15:7). In my spirit I can imagine the joyful shouts of praise that fill the throne room of God as multitudes of souls are reached in Ambon, Indonesia.

Please take these steps:

1. Click here to sow your best seed into World Impact Ministries at this critical time.

2. Click here to send any prayer requests you have for me to bring with me to Ambon.

3. Please indicate what token of “THANK YOU” I can send to you in the message box.

The keychain pictured is from Jerusalem. The one side depicts the High Priest’s breastplate, reminding us of Jesus our High Priest, while the other side is a prayer in Hebrew (available with a gift of any amount).

The CD teaching, “Confidence - The Key to Your Reward” will powerfully impact your life (available with your gift of $50 or more).

The beautifully engraved Silver Shofar from Jerusalem is a special thank you gift for those who are able to sow a seed of $1,000 or more.

Whatever you can do please know that your gift, from the smallest to the largest, is crucially important. Your help is needed now. Sow your seed towards this mighty ingathering of souls and expect a mighty outpouring of blessing in your own life.

Thank you for all you have done for the work of the Lord!

Thank you for your faithful partnership to declare the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world!

Thank you for making a difference for all eternity!

I will look for your response.

God has a Dream December 30th 2011

God has a Dream

Dear Friend,

Before reading any further, please get a hold of a pen, because I’m going to ask you to write something very important for your future. God told Habakkuk “Write the vision”. Jesus told John to “write what he saw”. (Rev 1:9)

A pen itself is powerless, but when God’s dream is in your heart and you write the desires He has put in you, then the pen can become a powerful tool.

Years ago I learnt five things about dreams and visions.

1. God has a Dream; I do too.

Dreams and visions is the language of the Holy Spirit; the old shall dream dreams and the young shall see visions (Acts 2:17). Every one of the biblical heroes was a dreamer; Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph… right on down to the apostle Paul. If I know that God is not a respector of persons, then I know that He is at work in you… putting His dreams in your heart.

2. God’s Dream Concerns Others; Mine does too.

What is your dream? Is it to receive healing? Financial provision? Family salvation? A better job? Or maybe it is about ministry, helping people in need?

God’s dream is as big as the seven billion precious souls that live on this earth, and His dream includes you and everyone in your household.

3. God’s Dream has Obstacles: Mine does too.

From the beginning, God’s dream was to send a Savior. It was prophesied hundreds of times over hundreds of years. But did you notice all the obstacles? For one, Herod tried to kill the newborn Savior. Have you encountered dream killers? Don’t be discouraged. That’s part and parcel of having a dream.

With every God-given dream comes obstacles. That’s why we need the reality of Christ in us, because “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world”.

4. God Doesn’t Quit His Dream; Neither do I.

Maybe you felt like quitting, wondering ‘When will my dream ever come to pass?’ God does not give up on you, your children, or your future. I feel like shouting as I’m writing these words. Maybe you can shout out loud where you are ... “If God won’t quit, I won’t either.”

5. God’s Dream comes Through; Mine does too.

God said that even though the dream is delayed, “Yet it will come to pass”.

You can see by the enclosed 2012 calendar that our dream is for SOULS, for millions, and yes, billions to be touched with the Gospel. Thank you for sharing in that dream.

Click here for your 2012 VISION SHEET and write what God has put in your heart. I will join in prayer, believing for you to have all the wisdom you need in 2012, that your dreams will become a reality.

Please watch also our special telecasts, ‘God’s Dream - Your Dream’ being aired in January. If our telecast is not available where you live, just click here to watch our special telecast programs.

Now take that pen in your hand, and fill in the vision sheet. Then would you send it to me? January will be a time when we believe with people for their dreams to become reality. I love to see God-given dreams come to pass, and I’d be honoured to pray with you over the dreams God has put in your heart.

I believe God will also direct you to give a seed offering for 2012. The amount is not nearly as important as your obedience to the Holy Spirit. World Impact Ministries has more and bigger Gospel Campaigns planned for 2012 than ever before. Thank you for your participation!

Peter Youngren

God gave a one-of-a-kind gift; we can too. December 18th 2011

God gave a one-of-a-kind gift; we can too.

Dear Friend,

Would you give a Christmas gift, like the one God gave 2,000 years ago? It’s close to Christmas, and all kinds of organizations, including many Christian ones; ask for your involvement….food-hampers for the needy…. poinsettias for the elderly… cookies… and of course toys; lots of toys for the kids.

Believe me, friend, I know what it feels like, because I’m just like you…. giving… sharing…. to as many and as often as I can.

Look at the question again; Would you give a Christmas gift just like the one God gave 2,000 years ago?

Here is what’s on my heart. I am concerned that we don’t forget the gift that God wanted ‘all peoples’ to receive. What was that gift?

    • God gave a Saviour; ‘My eyes have seen Your salvation’ [Lu 2:30]
    • God gave ‘peace’ from Himself, and ‘goodwill toward people’ [Lu 2:14]
    • God gave Jesus to be ‘a light to bring revelation’ to all. [Lu 2:32]

Somehow we are all tempted to forget what God’s gift is all about. It is about bringing the message of salvation to all. I want to rally those who believe the Gospel, and I know that includes you, friend, to give a gift that’s more than food, clothing or toys…… to give Jesus to people.

While we wait for Jesus’ 2nd coming, billions have not yet heard of His first coming in Bethlehem. What about them?

What about the angel’s message, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which will be to all people’? [Luke 2:10] God’s intention is crystal clear; ‘all people’ must hear about the coming of Jesus, and His great salvation.

Will you give a gift this Christmas for the salvation to come to all people?

World Impact Ministries is focused on the unreached. By the most conservative estimates there are at least 2 billion, probably more, who have never had one chance to hear the Gospel. Most live in big cities where there are no churches, Christian bookstores or Gospel preaching in their language.

I have listed five ways that you can make a BIG DIFFERENCE this Christmas:

1. Give a box of Salvation booklets for new believers.

Each box contains 150 copies of ‘Salvation – God’s Gift to You’. The cost includes translation into the local language, shipping and putting the books into the hands of new believers.
Cost: $40

2. Sponsor three pastors and leaders.

Many of the new believers come from a background of Islam, Hinduism or Buddhism. During a 3-day seminar pastors receive the necessary training to do follow up. Cost for 3 pastors: $84

3. Sponsor one Bible school student for one year of training.

Your gift makes it possible for one student in our Bible school in Indonesia or East Africa to get a full year of training……and the results are phenomenal. This year’s graduates in Indonesia have all gone out as missionaries, preaching the Gospel among Muslims. WOW! What a great Christmas gift! Cost: $350.

4. Sponsor a ‘Friendship Dinner’.

This makes a big impact for the Gospel. We bring together a hundred or more political and religious leaders in non-Christian countries and present the Gospel to them, often for the very first time. This opens the door for the Gospel to a whole community, so that tens of thousands can receive salvation. The average cost is $800.

5. Sponsor one night in the stadium.

This includes the rental of the stadium, lights, sound and lots more during a Gospel Festival. Often ten thousand people will respond for salvation in one night. Some can sponsor one night, while others can buy a share in one of these outreaches. Average cost: $10,000. Or a 10% share for $1,000. Others can do $100, $500 or $1,500.

Crowd

Here is what is really important; that all Gospel believers do something. Don’t let Christmas 2011 come and go without your participation to advance the Gospel. Click here to choose your gift.

No gift is too small or too great, when it comes to bringing this ‘great joy’ to ‘all people’. The cause of the Gospel needs you! The unreached need you! We need you! Thank you!

Your partner in the Gospel,

P.S. Our campaign schedule is really full for 2012, from India to Haiti, from Tanzania to Pakistan and Indonesia, we are focused on the unreached. Thank you for ‘going’ through your prayers and giving.
